Would you like to make an excursion from Karlsruhe in the direction of the Black Forest? Then we recommend the Geroldsauer Mill at the gateway to the Black Forest. It takes about 45 minutes by car on the A5 from Karlsruhe to the traditional mill.

What makes the Geroldsauer Mühle near Baden-Baden so special? It’s the mixture of Baden pub flair and stylish ambience. At the same time, the fact that especially on weekends with good weather, there is probably no place in the beer garden that will remain free for long. Because the mill is a popular destination for excursions. Nevertheless, with just a few steps you are completely away from the hustle and bustle. Namely by the stream behind the house, in the shady forest on one of the circular hiking trails in the nature park or on foot on the way to Baden-Baden.

Geroldsauer Mühle – Meet at the gateway to the Black Forest

Arrival:

The location of the Geroldsauer Mühle is ideal for guests from Alsace, Switzerland or Karlsruhe and of course Baden-Baden. Coming from the north or south, simply take exit 51 on the A5 Karlsruhe/Basel motorway and then continue on the B 500 towards Baden-Baden. Then follow the signs B 500 towards Freudenstadt until you reach the Geroldsauer Mühle.

If you are coming from France, the A35 Strasboug/Lauterbourg motorway is your route. At the Roppenheim exit (No.56) you cross the border and then follow the B 500 towards Baden- Baden and Freudenstadt.

The mill can even be reached by public transport. It is served by two bus lines, so you can easily reach the mill by train and bus.

The Geroldsauer Mühle is the largest silver fir building in Europe. In the centre is the inn with various rooms for parties, celebrations and conferences as well as a beautiful extensive beer garden. This is a great place to stay. Indulge yourself with coffee, cake or Baden specialities and enjoy the ambience and Baden hospitality. At the same time, the Mühlenmarkt is an attraction for numerous visitors. On the upper floor of the Geroldsauer Mühle there is a permanent exhibition about the Black Forest Nature Park Central/North. It is one of the largest nature parks in Germany. In addition, there are fascinating experience offers, of which you can integrate one or the other into your conference in the Black Forest.
